How did Drew Brees and Brittany Brees meet?

The love story of this beautiful couple is nothing short of a fairy tale. The two lovebirds met during their college days at Purdue University in the late 1990s.

Drew was a sophomore quarterback at Purdue, and Brittany a junior when she caught Brees’s eye. He recalled his first meeting with Brittany in an interview with ESPN the Magazine and said,

“I made a real fool of myself when I first met her. It was my 20^th birthday and I’d about 17 shots and put my foot in my mouth. It was a typical football player cheesy line- we’ll leave at that. Took me six months to get the courage to talk to her again. I finagled my way to get invited to a party that I knew she’d be at.”  

When the two finally went on their first date, they brought along friends. Then they went to the movies, where Drew’s friends started throwing Gummy Bears at the screen!

Their love blossomed, and they were in a committed relationship for over 20 years. Finally, in a small ceremony in Colorado, California, the lovely couple tied their knots in February 2003.
